Yorecraft scroll saw files are inexpensive accessories that convert most scroll saws into power sanders.

Yorecraft scroll saw files consist of a silicon carbide abrasive baked onto a tempered spring steel.  They are not sandpaper on plastic.  There is not a tougher scroll saw file made. 

Yorecraft scroll saw files shape and sand complex contours and forms easily eliminating the need for tedious hand sanding.

The silicon carbide abrasive is aggressive enough to cut as well as sand in most materials.

WOODCRAFT company says," these excellent scroll saw files are ideal for shaping interior and exterior parts, and for prepping for a finish, with cuts including course, medium and fine, plus extra fine for really great finishing. General uses for these silicon carbide files including shaping, finishing, general smoothing in hard and soft woods, plaster, soapstone and work on some non-ferrous metals (fine and extra fine). Files are standard scroll saw blade length (5") pin less, two per package."
